J.D. Trebmal has always been a daydreamer and lover of a good story. She grew up on an island in the Pacific Northwest, canoeing, sailing, and writing stories about girls with horses. She didn't have a horse but she did have six younger siblings and a lot of books.

Today she lives in beautiful Utah where she writes every kind of story and loves learning homesteading skills and homeschooling. Along with her husband and children, she now has a whole room of books, too many chickens, and two dairy cows…but still no horse.
